What is emerson boozer?

Emerson Boozer is a former professional American football player who played as a running back for the New York Jets in the NFL. He was born on July 4, 1943, in Augusta, Georgia. Boozer was known for his physical running style and ability to break tackles.

Boozer was selected by the New York Jets in the sixth round of the 1966 AFL Draft. He played his entire nine-year career with the Jets from 1966 to 1975 and was a key player in the team's victory in Super Bowl III in 1969.

During his career, Boozer earned two Pro Bowl selections and rushed for 5,135 yards and 52 touchdowns. He was also a reliable receiver out of the backfield, catching 199 passes for 2,209 yards and 8 touchdowns.

After retiring from football, Boozer worked as a motivational speaker and served as a community relations representative for the New York Jets. He was inducted into the New York Jets Ring of Honor in 2015.
